Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time, on-site contract position seeks Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support K-12 students within a public school setting in Theodore, AL. The role involves working with elementary and middle school-aged children in a K-5 caseload across multiple schools, including Holloway Elementary, Chastang-Fournier K-8, and Scarborough Middle (itinerant position). Commitment is expected through the current school year, ending in May.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Assist with assessment, therapy, and progress documentation for students with speech and language disorders.
- Collaborate with educators and families to implement individualized education plans.
- Maintain compliance with licensure requirements and school district policies.
Qualifications:
- Registered SLPA with the Board of Speech Examiners.
- Experience supporting speech-language services to school-aged children preferred.
- Ability to work full-time (35 hours per week) on-site.
